This The Colony bathroom project centers on dramatic large-format tile. The wall panels have bold, dark veining over a white background, so the shower and tub areas look like slabs of natural marble. Because the tile is big, there are very few grout lines, which makes the walls look seamless and keeps them easy to wipe down. In the walk-in shower, a frameless sliding glass door on a matte black rail opens the space without swinging into the room. The floor is a stone mosaic in earthy gray, tan, and brown, which adds texture and a bit of grip underfoot. A recessed niche, a square rain shower head, and a handheld sprayer on a slide bar keep everything within reach. The same black finish carries through the controls, the towel bars, and the grab bars. The tub area follows the same design: a clean white tub, a recessed niche, a rain shower head, a handheld sprayer, and a horizontal grab bar on the back wall. The vanity is a stained wood cabinet with black pulls, a light stone-look top, an undermount sink, and a matte black faucet. A backlit LED mirror finishes the room.

Result

The finished bathroom looks bold but stays practical. The marble-look tile gives it a high-end feel without the upkeep of natural stone. The black fixtures sharpen the white walls, and the warm wood vanity keeps the room from feeling cold. Grab bars in the shower and tub add safety, and the sliding door and large tile make daily use simple.
