Project description

About this remodel

This Carrollton bathroom had a yellowed fiberglass tub surround, a worn vanity with an integrated sink, and a damaged section of wall. Everything about the room showed its age, and the tub-and-curtain layout made a small space feel even tighter. We replaced the tub with a full-size walk-in shower enclosed in frameless glass. The walls are covered in large-format dark gray tile with soft white veining, set in an offset pattern. A pebble mosaic covers the shower floor and the recessed niche, which softens the dark walls. The shower has a ceiling-mounted rain head, a handheld sprayer, a linear drain, and a built-in corner bench. Brushed nickel hardware runs through the glass and the fixtures. New recessed lighting, a new vanity, and a new toilet complete the room.

Result

The finished bathroom is a major step up. The walk-in layout is easier to get in and out of than a tub, and the bench and niche give you places to sit and store things. The large tile means far fewer grout lines to maintain. The dark walls and light pebble floor give the room a spa-like contrast.

Scope

Full bathroom renovation, demolition of the existing tub and surround, wall repair, walk-in shower construction with built-in bench and niche, linear drain, plumbing for the new shower system, tile installation, frameless glass enclosure, new vanity, lighting updates, finish work.

Materials

Large-format dark gray veined wall tile, pebble mosaic for the shower floor and niche, matching dark floor tile, ceiling-mounted square rain shower with handheld, brushed nickel fixtures and glass hardware, frameless clear glass enclosure, stainless linear drain.

Worked with Jackont Remodeling to remove a wall combining two bedrooms and flooring/paint in two additional. They were very professional, fair, and knowledgeable recognizing several things other contractors who had bids didn't mention while still being similar or lower on price. We are very happy with the results and even used them and subs they knew to do some other work needed at the house. I recommend this company.

We had a vision for our bathroom, but what we ended up with was even better than we pictured. The entire space feels fresh, open, and incredibly well put together. Everyone on the team was respectful, easy to work with, and took real pride in what they were building. You can tell the quality isn’t just in the big things—it’s in all the little finishing touches too. Every guest who has seen it asks who did the work, and for good reason. Thank you !!!!!!!

Walking into this bathroom now feels like stepping into a completely different home. The design, the craftsmanship, and the attention to the small details made all the difference. Nothing felt rushed, and you could tell they genuinely cared about the final result. The entire experience was smooth, communication was easy, and the finished space speaks for itself. This is one of those projects that makes you wonder why you didn’t do it years ago.

Aari helped communicate with my insurance adjuster, handled the demo process smoothly, and provided a clear rebuild plan from start to finish. We finally decided to install artificial grass and honestly, it’s one of the best upgrades we’ve done to our home. Our yard went from dry and patchy to looking green and perfect every single day. Ari, the project manager at jackont Remodeling, handled everything from start to finish. He made the process easy, kept things moving, and made sure the final result looked clean and natural — not that fake plastic look we were worried about. Now the kids can play outside, we don’t worry about watering, and the yard always looks maintained. Totally worth it, and we’re really happy we went with jackont Remodeling.
